October 2012 and Goal Setting

October has not been the best month for me. Multiple setbacks, slow-to-heal ankle, etc etc. Then again, I have a lot of things to celebrate as well. In this month, I met up with many old friends from Primary School, Secondary School, High School and University. I passed my probation period in KBR.

This weekend has been rather interesting. On Saturday, I tried playing paintball for the first time in my life. Sadly, I am too big a target and too slow. End result - multiple "gun shot" wounds, but my team still won nonetheless :P
My elbow

Today I went to Nike We Run SG 10K for a 10km run. With my "yet-to-fully-healed" sprained ankle. I ran for 3km, then walked all the way. This was an interesting run as I can see much more people as compared to the Singapore Bay Run which I participated one month ago. I had to admit that it was quite an enjoyable workout, much better if I was 100% fit.

Short term goal (by end of 2012):
i) Lose another 5kg

Medium term goal (by end of 2013):
i) Weight ~ 95kg
ii) Run a half marathon 21km

Long Weekend

Just had a 3 day holiday for Hari Raya. Public holidays become something I look forward to ever since I started work...

Saturday - Started off the weekend with a morning jog at NTU SRC. Meeting with Andri. Then joined LDP people to explore Balestier Road  (ate bak kut teh & 豆沙饼, visited Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and Burmese Buddhist Temple), dinner at Little India and supper at Selegie Road Rochor Beancurd.

Sunday - Since I was home alone (housemates were either away for business trip or back in Malaysia), so I decided to do some house cleaning, After that, met with Chong Chin for matters regarding insurance. Then dinner and movie with Tim & Choon Keat.

Monday - Went trekking at MacRitchie with red cross people. Helped to guide an Australian tourist to MacRitchie when I was on my way there. Lunch at Kampong Chicken Rice + ice cream dessert. Spent my whole afternoon watching Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Time to start work!!!

First week of my final semester

This is the first week of my final semester in NTU. Without realizing it, I have been in NTU for 3.5 years. Many things had happened and I have also changed a lot. Still, I am trying to enjoy my last moments in NTU and hope to achieve as much as I can.

I have only 3 modules, 11 AUs this semester. They are MP4010 Mechatronics Systems Design and Analysis, MP4J02 Marine and Offshore Structural Integrity and CM101 Java and The Internet. Since my timetable is so free, I decided to audit two very interesting modules, which are MP4005 Fluid Dynamis and MP4J03 Marine Engineering Systems and Control.

This week has been quite interesting. I crashed Nano lecture, attended talk by Red Hat CEO, got rejected by PSA, went outing with Red Cross buddies, jogged at SRC, played badminton for the first time since 2000, chatted with a financial consultant, helped Dung with his FYP, attended FYP meeting, Grad Dinner meeting, LDP Workshop meeting and so on.

Hopefully next week will be even better. I am going back Kampar for CNY!!!
