My computer screen was spoiled

A few days ago, my computer screen when haywire. The colours were distorted and white became pink. After calling DELL, their technician came down to have a look. I thought it was my LCD problem but he said it should be the graphic card problem. Since the graphic card is embedded in the motherboard, he changed my motherboard. It was a lengthy process as I observed him disassembling my laptop to get the motherboard and then reassembled it.
